Where there are land disasters, midair collisions are also prevalent. This occurs when two aircraft collide with one another due to some human negligence or error in navigation. The reasons could be anything, but the pain and sorrow caused to the victims’ families are always similar. From the crew to the passengers, within seconds, every single person dies.

One of such disasters occurred on July 1st 2002 when two aircrafts collided over Uberlingen. It is a Southern German town, Lake Constance, near the Swiss Border. The planes were Tu-154, a passenger jet of Bashikirian Airline Flight 2937, and DHL cargo plane Flight 611, Boeing-757.

In the middle of the night, this tragedy caused the lives of all the 71 passengers that were on board. But who was on board? What caused the collision? And did anyone survive?
