Wedding vows are an essential part of a marriage. They cement your expectations with the other person and help you get on the same page as your life moves forward. This is exactly what Kelly and her husband Jason were in for as they paved their marriage forward with a particular promise. A promise snared around murder- one with deadly expectations attached to it. They cemented their wedding vows with a pact that promised to kill anyone they had an extramarital affair with. Their marriage and its decisions were theirs alone. Or so Jason thought, but Kelly had something different in mind.

A union that started in Merryville, Indiana, Jason and Kelly Cochran met each other in high school. Not only were they class fellows but coincidentally next-door neighbors. This allowed their love to blossom steadily, and like any small town romance, they decided to get their happy ending by getting married. Trying to live a comfortable life wrapped around each other, they started a business together based on servicing pools. To many people, their romance seemed ideal, one that was not too hard to find, but there was an odd aura around the couple that many found unsettling.

“Kelly was the conversation person. He didn’t really say much unless we got him talking about something.” Said a friend of theirs in an interview.

Not only did Kelly dominate the social aspect of their life, she slowly started taking charge of their economic wellbeing as well. Whatever her intentions were, many believed Jason’s back giving out due to hard labor aided her in a way. His reliance and love for her increased as her dedication to a man who was no longer the same and accepting him with all his flaws only spurred him on more. With that decided, their life slowly started to change, and they shifted to Michigan so Jason could smoke marijuana legally for his back pain. That’s when it all changed.
