Mongols became a symbol of might and tyranny. When Genghis Khan, a distressed boy, grew up to be vengeful, he made China his primary target to attain the power he had always craved.

China was advanced in almost every aspect, including agriculture, technology, well-designed cities, and homes, among other resources. Mongols saw China as an opportunity to have a strong foothold over the world, beginning the reign of terror.

While they killed millions on their way, there were certain strategies adopted by the Ming dynasty and others during the crucial times that helped them defend themselves and their homelands.

The conflict became a hallmark in shaping the cultures and societies of both parties significantly.

1. Keep your Friends Close but your Enemies Closer

When the Mongols killed millions of people as a symbol of their power and control; the Yuan dynasty was taken over by Genghis.

Surviving the Mongol invasion was becoming more and more impossible over time, but certain strategies helped the dynasties reserve some power for themselves.
