During a backpacking trip in Auckland, Grace Millane, 21, suddenly disappeared on December 1st, 2018. After a missing person report, some distressing CCTV footage revealed the tragic truth behind her untimely demise.

Grace Millane, 21, was born in Essex, England. As the youngest of three siblings, she was a friendly, energetic, family-oriented girl. As one example of Grace’s compassion, she donated her long hair to make wigs for children with cancer.

Grace attended the University of Lincoln and received a degree in marketing and advertising. Having moved on to the next phase of her life, she was excited to embark on a backpacking trip she had been saving for a year.

In October 2018, Grace left her home and set off on her travels. Following the start of her journey in Peru, she spent six weeks in South America. In all of her pictures, she is smiling brightly with other travelers she encountered along the way.

Grace arrived alone in New Zealand on November 19. In Auckland, she checked into a hostel called Base Backpackers on Queen Street. At 6 pm on December 1st, 2018, Grace stepped out, dressed in a knee-length black dress, white shoes and carrying a small handbag, into the city center. Using Tinder, the dating app, she decided to meet her match.

At Sky City, an entertainment complex with bars and restaurants, she met her date. Grace and the guy seemed to connect well because she kept her friend home, informed about their ongoing date.

After about an hour, they visited a place called the Bluestone room. When Grace got up from the table, the mysterious date began to inspect her handbag. In the end, however, they both left…
